This role is available due to an internal transition, offering a great opportunity for a new team member to join and make an impact. We are now seeking to level up our support and grow the finance team in order to support international growth. Reporting to the Supervisor in the UK, this person will support with the financial management and accounting for our international expansion entities. They will be required to manage their own areas of finance. It is essential they can communicate effectively with team members and business partners while developing their interpersonal and analytical skills to understand the needs of the business. This position is hybrid with a required 2 days per week in our office located in Central London. To be considered, candidates must currently reside and be eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable management ensuring invoices are entered and processed accordingly, payment runs are on time and all records are kept up to date.
  • Automate the accounts payable function as much as possible utilizing add on systems or AI where possible.
  • Accounts Receivable management including raising all sales invoices on time and in line with client statements of work, statement runs are done and chased to ensure clients are sticking to their payment terms.
  • Allocate payments received from clients.
  • Reconcile the monthly revenue to ensure revenue is deferred and accrued where required.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Processing credit cards and expenses ensuring they are approved and receipts provided.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany reconciliations.
  • Support month end close ensuring we stick to deadlines.
  • Process prepayments and accruals.
  • Good understanding of preparing journals and debits and credits.
  • Suggest areas for potential workflow and improvements with internal and external processes along with possible solutions for improved efficiency, accuracy, speed and quality.
  • Once the role has been automated as much as possible be ready to then move to being fully involved in month end, budgeting and forecasting and working across EMEA fully.
  • Create strong and effective internal partnerships and collaborate across the business in particular with the Managing Directors in EMEA.
  • Other accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 Years of relevant accounting experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in an accounts position in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience of working in multi-currencies and different markets desirable.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing business a plus.
  • Relevant qualification in Accountancy – AAT qualified, Part Qualified CIMA or ACCA.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting preferred but not essential if relevant qualification.
  • High level of accuracy and efficiency while managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite, including high proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, Vlookups and various commonly used formulae in the accounting industry).
  • Experience with Xero and NetSuite preferred.
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to consistently meet goals and deadlines with little direct oversight.
  • Proven self-starter and independent problem-solving ability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining high quality work.
