About the role

We’re looking for an immediately available Quality Inspector to join NP Aerospace and support our Vehicle Systems, Services and Spares (VSSS) team, covering a period of long-term absence within the department.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a global armour technology manufacturer and play a key role in ensuring the quality and integrity of components used in military vehicle systems. You’ll support inspection and quality control activities that directly contribute to the reliability and safety of equipment used by defence organisations worldwide.

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re detail-focused, methodical, and passionate about maintaining high standards. Working closely with engineering and production teams, you’ll help ensure that products meet specification, regulatory standards, and NP Aerospace’s commitment to delivering quality solutions that protect lives.

At NP Aerospace, we know our success comes from our people. That’s why we invest in benefits that support your health, reward your hard work, and help you grow your career:

  • Performance rewards – discretionary bonus opportunities
  • Flex your day – flexible start and finish times (subject to manager approval and operational needs)

  • Supportive environment – a team culture built on innovation, collaboration, and purpose

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you’ll support the inspection and verification of materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. You’ll carry out goods-in and goods-out inspections, confirming that both supplied and internally manufactured products conform to required documentation and acceptance criteria.

You’ll work closely with production and engineering teams to perform quality control activities, including patrol and batch inspections, helping to maintain consistent standards throughout the manufacturing process. Your attention to detail will ensure that quality traceability data is accurately recorded, monitored, and communicated to relevant stakeholders.

You’ll also support the management of non-conformance processes, identifying issues, raising reports, and ensuring non-conforming materials are appropriately controlled and segregated. By working collaboratively across the business, you’ll contribute to continuous improvement activities that enhance product quality and manufacturing performance.

  • Knowledge of inspection techniques and measurement tools

  • Competent user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of Health & Safety and environmental standards
  • Ability to record, monitor and communicate quality data clearly
