Job Title: Vehicle Paint Sprayer
Location: Coventry CV6
Vacancy Type: Full-time, Temp/Contract (6 months with potential extensions).
Core Hours: 08:00-16:35 (Mon–Thu) 08:00-15:10 (Fri)
Salary: £19 per hour (Fixed-Term Contract with benefits) OR £25 per hour (Ltd Company Contractor)
Paint vehicles that protect lives. NP Aerospace is looking for an experienced Vehicle Paint Sprayer to join our Coventry facility, supporting high-priority defence programmes. This temporary role is your chance to work at the sharp edge of military vehicle production, where precision, quality, and purpose come together.
We’re hiring now to expand our skilled paint and finishing team.
Contract Options
We’re offering two engagement routes, depending on how you want to work:
- £19 per hour on a Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) with NP Aerospace – including full employee benefits (see below)
- £25 per hour if you join as a Ltd Company Contractor (outside IR35)
What you’ll be doing
You’ll prepare, prime, and spray military vehicles and components to the highest quality standards.
- Carry out paint preparation, priming, and finishing work to technical specifications
- Apply water-based paint systems with precision and consistency
- Inspect and correct surface defects to ensure flawless finishes
- Follow work instructions, drawings, and quality standards
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment, complying with COSHH and H&S requirements
- Collaborate with colleagues across Production, Quality, and Engineering to deliver to exacting defence standards
What you’ll bring

- Proven experience as a Vehicle Paint Sprayer within a Bodyshop or production environment
- City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Spray Painting
- Proficient in water-based paint techniques
- Knowledge of COSHH and H&S requirements
