NP Aerospace is looking for an experienced Vehicle Paint Sprayer/Body Filler Technician to join our Coventry facility, supporting high‑priority defence programmes. These temporary roles are your chance to work at the sharp edge of military vehicle production, where precision, quality, and purpose come together. We’re hiring now to expand our skilled paint and finishing team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Prepare, prime, fill and spray military vehicles and components to the highest quality standards, ensuring durable and consistent finishes suitable for demanding operational environments.
- Carry out surface preparation, including sanding, masking and application of body filler to repair imperfections.
- Apply primers, base coats and topcoats using water‑based and 2K paint systems.
- Mix, match and apply paint with precision and consistency.
- Inspect, correct and polish finishes to achieve flawless quality.
- Follow work instructions, drawings and quality specifications.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment in line with COSHH and H&S requirements.
- Work closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to meet defence‑grade standards.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Paint Sprayer or Refinisher within a Bodyshop or manufacturing environment.
- Confidence using body filler, sanding tools and spray equipment.
- City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Spray Painting.
- Proficiency in water‑based and 2K paint systems.
- Good knowledge of COSHH and H&S requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and a quality‑first approach.
