A growing managed service provider is seeking an IT Support Apprentice who is passionate about technology, eager to learn, and ready to begin a rewarding career in IT.
About You
You are disciplined, self-motivated, and driven to succeed. You enjoy problem-solving, learning new systems, and helping others. You communicate clearly, adapt quickly to new tools, and work well in fast-paced environments. You respond positively to feedback and use it to develop your skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1st Line IT Support to clients
- Monitor and maintain network and server infrastructure
- Manage calls, service tickets, and email requests via a Service Desk
- Deliver both remote and on-site technical support
- Respond promptly to system failures and technical issues
- Create and maintain process documentation
- Troubleshoot faults and ensure timely resolution
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (required for on-site support)
- Good understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Familiarity with routers, networking equipment, and wired/wireless troubleshooting
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP principles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Well organised and able to manage multiple tasks
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English
- Some prior IT experience is desirable
Training & Development
This role includes a 12-15 month IT apprenticeship programme, combining structured training with practical, on-the-job experience. Areas covered include:
- Operating systems
- Server administration
- Customer support
- Networking
- Security
