We are looking for an IT Apprentice to join our IT Support team and develop practical skills across technical support, networking, cyber security, cloud services, and automation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in IT and gain hands-on experience supporting real business customers.

The Role

Working alongside an experienced IT Support team, you will help customers resolve day-to-day technology issues while developing your technical knowledge. The role is varied and will involve everything from troubleshooting computers and software to setting up equipment, supporting Microsoft 365, and helping with automation projects. You will also work towards a Level 3 Information Communication Technician qualification as part of the apprenticeship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer support requests by telephone, email, and service desk.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and network issues.
  • Set up computers, workstations, peripherals, and other IT equipment.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and support of servers and other IT systems.
  • Support Microsoft 365, cloud services, backup systems, and remote monitoring tools.
  • Follow cyber security policies and help maintain secure systems and user accounts.
  • Monitor and maintain key IT systems, carrying out upgrades and maintenance where required.
  • Visit customer sites to install equipment or provide technical support.
  • Document technical solutions, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Provide customers with guidance and one-to-one training where appropriate.
  • Develop skills in scripting, coding, automation workflows, and system integrations.
  • Take ownership of technical issues, escalating more complex problems when necessary.
