The Role
As a Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all candidates meet the necessary safeguarding and vetting requirements in line with DfE, Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE), and REC Audited Education standards. You will oversee the full compliance process from initial candidate registration through to placement maintaining the standards and reputation of Now Education.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and oversee all vetting checks including DBS, identity, right to work, qualifications, and reference verification.
- Monitor and record compliance documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Work alongside consultants and candidates to gather the appropriate documentation required for registration and placement.
- Organise and complete compliance processes in accordance with company guidelines.
- Follow and develop policies and procedures to ensure all vetting criteria are consistently met.
- Maintain accurate and detailed compliance records within our matchmaker system.
- Keep up to date with changes to safeguarding and compliance regulations in the education sector.
What We\’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a compliance, safeguarding, or recruitment administration role (education sector experience highly desirable).
- Strong IT skills, with confident use of Microsoft Excel & Word.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- An ability to work to strict timescales
- A proactive approach and commitment to maintaining the highest safeguarding standards.
