Now Education are currently recruiting confident and resilient Cover Supervisors to work within a well-established secondary school in the South Wirral area. We have opportunities available on both a day-to-day and long-term basis, with the potential for temp-to-perm opportunities for the right candidates. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience within secondary education.

The role is particularly suited to:

  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking further experience before securing a permanent teaching role
  • Individuals considering a future career in teaching and looking to gain hands-on school experience before undertaking teacher training

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher and ensuring students remain engaged in pre-set learning activities. You will play a key role in maintaining a positive learning environment and managing classroom behaviour effectively.

Requirements

  • Experience leading or managing young people in a professional setting that can transfer into the classroom
  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above
  • A degree is desirable
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage behaviour confidently and professionally
  • Resilient, adaptable, and able to work independently
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
