Now Education is currently recruiting for a Specialist Primary School based in Shenstone for a full-time, ongoing role which may lead to a permanent offer for the right candidate. The role will be supporting the site team in carrying out day to day general maintenance and site work across the school grounds.
Working Hours: 8am - 4pm (subject to change)
Responsibilities:
- Carry out odd jobs.
- Open and close the school building.
- Work independently and as a team to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Ensure Trust policies, processes and procedures are followed at all times and that the school is fully compliant with health and safety requirements.
- Ensure high quality service delivery is maintained at all times, using Every System for logging and managing of jobs and for statutory recording.
- Work effectively with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to learn, as training will be given.
- Experience of undertaking basic maintenance.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, challenging yet rewarding role.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience as a Maintenance Professional or as a Care Taker/Site Manager in a school setting.
- Professional references covering the last two years of employment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and safely within a school environment.
Vetting Process:
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
- Prohibition from Teaching check.
- Verification of relevant qualifications, including QTS.
- Proof of identity and right to work in the UK.
