The Role

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons to pupils with SEMH needs
  • Support students who may display challenging behaviour or have experienced barriers to mainstream education

  • Work collaboratively with pastoral teams, support staff and senior leaders
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning and emotional needs

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
  • Has experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4
  • Experience within SEMH, SEND, PRU or alternative provision settings is highly desirable
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
  • Patient, resilient and passionate about making a difference
  • Able to inspire and motivate pupils who may be disengaged from education
