NOW Education is currently recruiting caring, committed, and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils across Primary and Secondary schools in Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. We are looking for dedicated support staff who can build positive relationships and provide tailored support to pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs. Many of our opportunities are long-term placements with the potential to become permanent after 12 weeks.

The Role

  • Support pupils on an individual basis within the classroom
  • Help pupils access learning and stay engaged
  • Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs
  • Support pupils with additional needs including:
    • Autism (ASC)
    • ADHD
    • SEMH needs
    • Speech & Language difficulties
    • Learning difficulties
  • Build positive relationships to support confidence, wellbeing, and progress
  • Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies

  • Previous experience working with children or young people
  • Experience supporting SEND pupils is desirable
