Novus are currently recruiting for an experienced health and safety consultant who can deliver high-quality health & safety consultancy to a portfolio of clients based in London and the South East.
You will need to demonstrate:
- A good working knowledge of UK H&S legislation and experience.
- Good communication skills and able to influence others in a corporate environment.
- Comprehensive experience in conducting audits to include both general H&S compliance and topic specific audits.
- Track record in writing technical proposals.
- Deliver a variety of health and safety training courses ideally (but not a pre-requisite) to be IOSH accredited.
- Conduct risk assessments on various topics, and assist in the maintenance of a risk register.
- Ability to write policy and procedural documents with experience of implementation within an organisation desirable.
- Undertake accident investigations to identify root causes.
- Experience of undertaking DSE workstation assessments desirable.
- Experience in carrying out Fire Audits.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of NEBOSH, ideally GradIOSH and working towards CMIOSH.
- CDM experience useful but not a prerequisite requirement.
- Auditor/Lead auditor status desirable.
- Must be flexible and willing to travel and stay away from home if required.
- Will be operating across a wide client base so must be able to communicate confidently at all levels within an organisation.
