Novus are currently recruiting for an experienced health and safety consultant who can deliver high-quality health & safety consultancy to a portfolio of clients based in London and the South East.

You will need to demonstrate:

  • A good working knowledge of UK H&S legislation and experience.
  • Good communication skills and able to influence others in a corporate environment.
  • Comprehensive experience in conducting audits to include both general H&S compliance and topic specific audits.
  • Track record in writing technical proposals.
  • Deliver a variety of health and safety training courses ideally (but not a pre-requisite) to be IOSH accredited.
  • Conduct risk assessments on various topics, and assist in the maintenance of a risk register.
  • Ability to write policy and procedural documents with experience of implementation within an organisation desirable.
  • Undertake accident investigations to identify root causes.
  • Experience of undertaking DSE workstation assessments desirable.
  • Experience in carrying out Fire Audits.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of NEBOSH, ideally GradIOSH and working towards CMIOSH.
  • CDM experience useful but not a prerequisite requirement.
  • Auditor/Lead auditor status desirable.
  • Must be flexible and willing to travel and stay away from home if required.
  • Will be operating across a wide client base so must be able to communicate confidently at all levels within an organisation.
