We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Liverpool, working as a Functional Skills Cover Teacher on an ad-hoc basis.

Site Information: HMP Liverpool is a Category B Male prison based in Walton, Liverpool. The prison’s mission is to provide a secure, safe, and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience: To be successful in this role, you will need:
- To hold a teaching qualification and, where applicable, a relevant subject specialist qualification - with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months
- To hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
- Have previous track record of achieving quality and performance targets
- Have experience producing accurate and timely reports
- Positive team working
- Effective communication & inter-personal skills
- Experience working in a cover capacity/in a prison environment (Desirable)
