Novus is a leading prison education provider. We have been transforming lives through high quality teaching and training for over 30 years and are recruiting a Contract Lot Manager to lead the prison education delivery across multiple sites within the West Midlands region. This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis (37 hours per week). This is a strategic management role with full responsibility and accountability for leading education provision and managing contracts across diverse teams. You will drive excellence in delivery, quality, and performance across multiple prison education contracts.

Experience Skills and Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will bring proven education leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and challenge staff to create a dynamic and innovative culture emphasising exceptional delivery and learner success.
  • You will ensure delivery meets agreed contractual standards while monitoring performance across all sites within the Lot.
  • The role involves managing senior leaders, including Local Education Managers, and building strong, effective partnerships with the MoJ Contract Management Team, Prison Governors and internal stakeholders.
  • Working closely with quality teams, you will direct continuous improvement across all sites in the Lot, while taking strategic responsibility for staffing, resourcing and budget decisions.
  • To be successful in this role, you will need to:
    • Hold a Degree (or have equivalent industry experience)
    • Hold a Leadership and Management qualification at Level 4 and above (Desirable)
    • Demonstrate effective leadership of large teams across multiple sites
    • Understand effective budget and resource planning and management
    • Have significant experience of identifying and driving quality improvements in learning and skills
    • Be able to demonstrate an ability for successful collaborative working with partners and stakeholders
    • Track record showing successful action planning to meet agreed targets
