£50k plus benefits - 4 days out of 5 on site. We are recruiting a Lead Maintenance Planner - a new role for our client who requires someone to play a vital role in maintenance planning, CMMS governance and engineering data accuracy across the site. You would be the key link for the engineering function with production, technical, supply chain, and everyone!
This position is ideal for someone who has engineering experience and is looking to step away from a hands-on role to move into that next phase of their career and be exposed to all areas of the business. You need an understanding around planning, thinking ahead with the engineering understanding and foresight to always keep the engineering team ahead.
This is a standalone role and gives you the freedom to develop best practice maintenance planning and engineering standards from the ground up. You will be given autonomy so looking forward and then planning backwards is key. This role does not cover weekends and there is the flexibility to WFH one day a week.

The Maintenance role highlights are:
- Plan and schedule maintenance works both improvements and corrective actions.
- Own, develop and continuously improve the site's CMMS system
- Act as site expert for CMMS
- Coordinate work with production, engineers, supervisors and contractors to reduce downtime
- Maintain documentation and records for audits and compliance reviews
- Analyse downtime and recurring equipment issues
- Produce engineering KPI reports and live dashboards
- Liaise with on-site stores team to ensure spares availability and stock accuracy
- Support ordering of critical and high-value components
- Create, update and control work instructions, SOPs and job plans in engineering.
Your background:
- Maintenance planning or maintenance engineering background
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG or a process-driven environment
- Strong working knowledge of CMMS systems
- Experience with PPM scheduling, engineering documentation and spare parts systems
- Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and reporting tools
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator able to liaise across all levels of the business
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to work independently in a busy manufacturing environment
