We are working with a well-established, independent accountancy practice with a strong local / regional client base and a reputation for high-quality, personal service who is seeking to take on two new individuals with experience in private practice. Unlike large corporate accountancy firms, they operate with minimal hierarchy and encourage greater autonomy for their team members, less bureaucracy and more building long-term client relationships rather than volume targets. The firm is all about a people-first culture and ensuring a healthy work-life balance through sensible hours and a supportive, collaborative environment. The Role
You will manage your own portfolio of clients, delivering a full range of accountancy and advisory services. The position offers real variety and the opportunity to work closely with business owners, rather than being siloed into a narrow specialism.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Corporation tax and personal tax compliance
- Preparation of management accounts and VAT returns
- Direct client communication and advisory support
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members (where applicable)
- Identifying opportunities to add value to clients’ businesses
