A unique production management role to head up operations for a small team and make your mark within this market-leading manufacturer. There is a wealth of experience in this business, and they now need to grow their team with an Operations Manager who can bring knowledge and expertise to lead and develop the team. Knowing what works, combining leadership with Continuous Improvement and KPI measurement, building on what has already been achieved, and giving more visibility and detail around the data. There is so much scope in this role for someone with a wide breadth of understanding about manufacturing to truly make their mark here. This is a supportive and highly team-focused business.
Reporting to the Site Director, you will have full autonomy in this role — Operations will be yours to lead. The site has enjoyed significant investment and has a long-serving team. This is a key management position working closely with the Site Lead and collaborating with all functions across the site.
This role will include:
- A hands-on, factory-focused role
- Refocusing all measures to ensure accuracy in the data
- Driving consistency in quality
- Reviewing all production practices with a view to implementing improvements across operations
- Leadership, coaching, and people development in line with the inclusive culture already in place
- Full autonomy to lead the operations team
Essential background for this role:
- Production management experience in manufacturing
- A detailed understanding of team development and engagement
- Proven experience in KPI measurement, ensuring full visibility and effective communication of KPI improvement and the CI process
- Ability to drive an inclusive, collaborative culture
- Results-focused, with the ability to interpret data and clearly communicate short- and long-term goals
- A hands-on approach with a strong grasp of the detail
