As a Loft Insulation Installer for Novus Property Solutions, you’ll play an important role in delivering retrofit and energy efficiency improvements within domestic properties.
You’ll be responsible for the safe, efficient and high-quality installation of loft insulation materials, helping to improve the energy performance of homes and support lower‑carbon living for our customers and communities.
Working in line with PAS 2030, Trust Mark requirements, manufacturer guidance and Novus standards, you’ll complete property surveys, provide accurate documentation and photographic evidence for designer approval, and return to install loft insulation to the required depth and coverage once the approved design has been confirmed.

- An Outline Of Your Responsibilities And Experience
- Safely install loft insulation materials to the required depth and coverage, in line with PAS 2030, Trust Mark standards, manufacturer guidance and Novus quality expectations.
- Prepare loft spaces by checking access, clearing obstructions, supporting safe ventilation and ensuring the work area is suitable before installation begins.
- Fit insulation carefully around pipes, wiring, loft hatches and other structural features without compromising safety, access or performance.
- Install timber walkways in loft spaces and complete door undercuts where required, ensuring work is carried out safely and to the correct standard.
- Complete electronic documentation, evidence photos, certification and completion forms accurately using handheld devices.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with residents, explaining the work being carried out and any precautions they may need to be aware of.
- Work effectively with other trades, retrofit teams, operational colleagues, SHEA and customer service teams to deliver whole‑house energy efficiency improvements.
- Experience working in tenanted domestic properties, ideally within social housing, would be advantageous.
- Essential qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Insulation Installation Operative or any relevant Installation qualifications.
Knowledge of PAS 2030 and Trust Mark compliance is also required.
Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training.
Where these certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus.
- Desirable qualifications and training: ACOPS Certification, Level 3 NVQ in Cold Roof Insulation, Level 2 NVQ in Pitched Roofing Insulation or Flat Roofing.
- A Full UK Driving Licence and DBS check will be required.
