Based: Bristol office, with regular site travel across Hampshire, Dorset, Somerset, Bristol & Avon, Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. This is mainly an office-based role, working Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week. We’re pleased to be recruiting for a Site Supervisor to support a long-term Responsive Repairs Social Housing contract. This is a great opportunity to join Novus to help us deliver high-quality responsive repairs and void works across tenanted properties.
Working with us as a Site Supervisor, you’ll be part of a committed and ambitious business that invests in its people and provides opportunities to develop and progress. Your role will be varied and customer-focused, working alongside like-minded colleagues to deliver an excellent service in a secure, inclusive and supportive environment. You’ll be responsible for supervising trade colleagues and subcontractors, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, on time, within budget and to a high standard. A key part of the role will be supporting the team to deliver a quality service for our client, customers and the wider communities we work in.
The successful Site Supervisor will have strong experience of working in a tenanted environment within the Social Housing sector, ideally with responsive repairs, alongside strong administration and organisational skills.

An Outline Of Your Responsibilities As a Site Supervisor
- Ensure site activities comply with Health & Safety regulations, legislation and Novus policies and procedures, including training, risk assessments, audits and record keeping
- Support the reduction of work in progress through proactive planning and efficient ordering of materials and equipment
- Monitor and identify Health & Safety issues, resolving matters within the supervised team where appropriate and escalating when required
- Ensure quality delivery of works through regular auditing, supervision and site checks
- Provide regular and timely feedback on the progress of works against targets to relevant operational, helpdesk and commercial teams
- Oversee the completion of works to ensure they are delivered correctly, safely and to the required quality standards
- Monitor day-to-day customer relationships, helping to resolve queries and maintain a positive service experience
- Provide information on site activities to support the Contracts Manager in progress meetings with clients and customers
- Support the Contracts Manager with people management activities in line with policies and procedures, including recruitment, training, capability, disciplinary, talent development and succession planning
About You
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualified
- HSE three-day First Aid qualification would be desirable
- Experience of Social Housing tenanted works is essential
- An enthusiastic self-starter with confident communication skills
- People supervision and first-line management experience would be desirable
- Good working knowledge of relevant Health & Safety procedures
- Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office and in-house systems
- Flexibility around working hours and a full UK driving licence
- This role will require a DBS check
