Role at Novus Property Solutions based in Yeovil or Basingstoke office – mainly office based with some site travel around Berkshire, Hampshire, Dorset, Somerset, Bristol & Avon, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire. Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week.

Our focus is on Social Housing planned void works, collaborating with your team in an inclusive and fair environment. Your role will be varied and customer focused, surrounded by like-minded colleagues who work together to ensure an excellent service. In this role, you’ll see the impact your skills have on the sites you work with every day. With responsibility for the supervision of trade site colleagues, including subcontractors, the role will ensure all site personnel carry out their designated tasks efficiently and effectively to enable the contract to be completed on time, with zero defects, within budget and with no risk to the Health & Safety of their operational team, the Client, or the general public.
The successful Site Supervisor will have strong experience in working in a tenanted environment within the Social Housing sector, ideally working on Void works along with strong IT, administration and organisational skills.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure the supervised site activities comply with H&S regulations, legislation and all staff follow Novus H&S policies and procedures through effective training, risk assessments and audits, record keeping, etc.
- Support in reducing work in progress, through proactive planning and efficient ordering of materials and equipment
- Monitor and identify H&S issues, resolve issues within the supervised team, and escalating if applicable
- Ensure quality delivery of works through daily/weekly auditing and supervision
- Provide regular and timely feedback on the progress of works against targets to relevant operational, helpdesk and commercial teams
- Take accountability and oversee correct installations of various works
- Monitor day to day customer relations
- Provide information on site activities to support Contracts Manager in progress meetings with clients and customers
- Assist Contracts Manager in managing staff in line with policies and procedures, such as recruitment, training, capability, disciplinary, talent development and succession; escalating issues accordingly and contributing to performance reviews.
About you:
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualified
- HSE Three Day First Aid desirable
- Essential to have experience of Social Housing tenanted works
- Must be an enthusiastic self-starter with confident communications skills
- People Supervision and first line management experience desirable
- Good working knowledge of relevant Health & Safety procedures.
- Confident IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office and in house systems
- Must be flexible in hours of work and hold a Full UK Driving Licence
- This role will require a DBS check
