About the Programme
As an Apprentice Bid Writer you will join our Work Winning function, focused on ensuring our operational teams have a strong pipeline of work. The 24‑month apprenticeship will lead to a Level 3 Bids & Proposals qualification and an APMP Bid Writing qualification upon completion.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support the full end‑to‑end proposal process: registering interest, coordinating activities, drafting responses to pre‑qualification questionnaires (PQQs) and preparing bid submissions.
- Write and edit proposal documents, maintain bid libraries and develop strong proofreading skills.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, participate in meetings and build relationships with stakeholders.
- Plan and organise multiple activities simultaneously, using our systems and technology tools to enhance output.
- Work closely with experienced colleagues across Business Services in a collaborative team environment.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4‑9 / A grade C)
- A Levels or a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
- Basic IT skills (including Microsoft Excel)
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude and a keen interest in learning and developing new skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
Notes
This apprenticeship may not be suitable for candidates who already hold (or are studying toward) a Level 3 qualification in Bids & Proposals or a closely related subject.
