We are looking for a Patient Services Team Lead to support our multi‑skilled Patient Services Team across reception, call handling, and referral management. The postholder will play a key role in ensuring patients receive a seamless, friendly, and efficient service from the moment they contact us. This is a hands‑on leadership role, combining team support with day‑to‑day operational delivery. By coaching and developing staff, supporting service performance, and working alongside the team, you will help us maintain high standards of patient access and communication across all our services.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Leading, supporting and developing a multi‑skilled team who deliver reception, call handling, and referral management functions.
- Working alongside the team to provide hands‑on support, including taking calls, covering reception and processing referrals when needed.
- Monitoring service performance, including call wait times, patient access, and referral workflows, and contributing to improvements in how we work.
- Supporting the Facilities Manager with day‑to‑day building coordination to ensure a safe, smooth, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
The ideal candidate will be calm, organised, and confident supporting others in a busy environment. They will enjoy being part of the team, have excellent communication skills and be committed to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care.
