Reporting to the Head of Operations, you'll lead our friendly and collaborative Credit Control team as a Credit Manager. You'll directly manage a team of 3 people and lead a wider function of 12 colleagues, all based in our Telford office on a hybrid working basis. In this role, you'll make a real impact. You'll help us deliver a high-quality collections service for our clients, while driving improvements and finding smarter, more efficient ways of working. You'll also play a key part in developing the team's technical capabilities, including automation, digitisation, and using data to support better decision-making. You'll identify, assess, and escalate credit risk concerns early, taking proactive action to protect cash flow and minimise financial exposure.
You’ll also:
- Lead, coach and support your team to achieve great results
- Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders across the business
- Own and continuously improve targets, KPIs, SLAs, processes, controls and monthly management information
- Use data and insight to create clear, impactful reporting and dashboards that help senior leaders make informed decisions and identify improvement and cost-saving opportunities
You may be CICM qualified, but above all, you'll be a confident Credit Management professional with strong knowledge of credit control, debt recovery and litigation. You'll be comfortable juggling changing priorities and tackling new challenges to ensure our clients always receive an excellent service.
You’ll be a great fit if you have:
- Strong people leadership and coaching skills
- Great stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels
- Excellent analytical ability and confidence working with data and metrics
- Exposure to automation, digitisation, system improvements or data-driven initiatives (desirable but not essential)
