We need a driven Market Access Key Account Manager to help us navigate the ever-evolving landscape and deliver our innovative products to those who need them most.

The role of the Market Access Key Account Manager is rudimentary and requires excellent knowledge and communication skills to ensure a smooth operation. Job Summary: We are looking for a candidate with an in-depth understanding of the external NHS, healthcare environment, and commissioner-provider interface, to work with the franchise teams in the development of brand-related Market Access strategy. You will manage the implementation of health economics, market access, and reimbursement strategies for prioritized products in local markets and healthcare systems. There will be a range of Market Access Branded Generics and First to Market products.

An assertive and flexible individual, the Market Access Manager will be responsible for commercial activities for launching our medication in the UK and is expected to manage all phases of the process, from hands-on activities such as research information to dossier submission and support during pricing negotiations. They will also provide strategic support for market launches in non-European countries.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Promote products to local authorities, access key decision makers, in the NHS, and Healthcare professions.
  • Chase, and follow up with key decision-makers, highlighting active product availability.
  • Research & identify market access opportunities, map out pathways, market access trends/health policy changes, and continuously map reimbursement requirements. Anticipate access barriers, and develop relevant strategies, ensuring meeting all client expectations.
  • Writing and delivering client presentations.
  • Prepare national pricing & reimbursement files and support listing negotiations.
  • Identify and engage possible consultants, source quotes, and recommend consultants to management.
  • Prepare market access briefs for sales team.
  • Work in close coordination with the Development and Commercial department to support new business development.
  • Manage relationships with KOLs, Patient and Professional Associations relevant to the role.
  • Co-ordinating and participating in advisory boards to provide the country perspective.
  • Ensures legal excellence and compliance in all market access efforts as per local laws and regulations.

Skills Requirements:

  • Work Experience: at least 5+ years local experience in Market Access in the healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record of successful submissions to NICE.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of the current and future access and policy environment for drugs.
  • Good knowledge of the drug development process (Local HTA process - pricing, reimbursement; Economic Modelling, Payer research, Payer advocacy etc) and global commercialization environment with proven track record of implementing successful Market Access strategies.
  • Proven track record of successful collaboration across multiple functions (e.g.: regulatory, medical or commercial function) throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Extensive experience in product launches with planning and execution through local payer assessments.
  • Proven track record of leading effective price and access negotiation strategies.
  • Development of key value generation tools and objection handling.
  • Experience in articulation requirements for RWE, HEOR to develop HE models.
  • Strong business acumen with excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
  • Developing or making recommendations for Price Policy or Access Strategy for pipeline or inline products and effectively communicating impact of those decisions to the commercial business.
  • Ability to present a well-reasoned business case and influence other departmental leaders to support cross functional implementation of new initiatives and projects.
  • High performer, strong team-commitment with ability to manage uncertainty.
  • Ability to work independently and to solve complex problems and multiple projects in supervisory capacity.
  • Strong team player with abilities to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Proven ability to present a well-reasoned business case and influence other departmental leaders to support cross functional implementation of new initiatives and projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external opinion leaders including pharmaceutical regulatory agencies.
  • APBI qualified.
