Novotel Canary Wharf is looking for a Rooms Division Manager to take ownership of Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest’s Services and Finance operations in one of London’s most vibrant hotels.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Rooms Division Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations, room readiness, guest flow, team productivity, and brand compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily Front Office, Housekeeping and Guest Services operations to ensure smooth, efficient service delivery.
- Control room readiness, occupancy flow, and turn‑around times.
- Ensure consistent application of Novotel and Accor brand standards.
- Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces.
- Ensure full audit readiness and compliance with internal and brand requirements.
- Performance & Coordination
- Work closely with Revenue Management to optimise occupancy and room allocation.
- Coordinate with Maintenance to manage defects, preventative maintenance, and room availability.
- Monitor operational KPIs including guest satisfaction, cleanliness scores, productivity, and costs.
- Support budget control, labour efficiency, and stock management within the Rooms Division.
- People & Team Management
- Lead, schedule, and support Front Office and Housekeeping teams to meet operational demands.
- Deliver daily briefings and structured shift handovers.
- Coach supervisors and team members through on‑the‑job training and performance feedback.
- Drive consistency, accountability, and cross‑training across the Rooms Division.
- Guest Experience & Service Recovery
- Manage guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery in line with brand standards.
- Ensure prompt resolution of operational issues affecting the guest experience.
- Maintain visible leadership presence during peak periods.
Qualifications
About You
- Proven operational experience in Front Office and/or Housekeeping management.
- Strong understanding of room operations, standards, and daily controls.
- Confident, hands‑on leader with excellent organisational skills.
- Able to manage priorities, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
