Novotel London West Hotel is part of Accor, the leading global hospitality group. It is one of the largest conference and accommodation providers within Accor. The hotel provides the international business community with space for up to 3000 delegates across 33 meeting rooms. It accommodates both business and leisure guests in one of our 630 bedrooms.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Assistant Bar Manager to join our team. In this role you will work closely with the Bar Manager to ensure smooth operations, exceptional service, and a positive environment for both guests and team members at Mirrors Bar. Mirrors Bar has a friendly and relaxing atmosphere perfect for meeting friends, family and colleagues alike, and our attentive bar staff are here to ensure your comfort and enjoyment. Offering a wide range of international beverages, cocktails and delicious menu options coupled with more traditional bar snacks, this is a great space to unwind in.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Bar Manager in overseeing daily bar operations, ensuring exceptional service and high-quality standards.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate bar staff to deliver a positive experience for customers.
  • Manage staff schedules and handle shift planning to ensure adequate staffing at all times.
  • Support in inventory management, ordering, and restocking supplies to avoid shortages.
  • Help develop new drink menus, specials, and promotional events to enhance customer experience and drive sales.
  • Monitor and uphold cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.
  • Address and resolve any guest complaints or staff issues in a professional manner.
  • Contribute to monthly reporting on bar performance, sales, and operational improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in bar management or a supervisory role in a high-volume hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of drink recipes, mixology, and current trends in the beverage industry.
  • Excellent leadership and people-management skills with the ability to motivate a team.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in inventory management, ordering, and cost control.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
