About the Role

The Project Manager will plan, coordinate, and manage all contracted responsibilities for assigned clinical projects. Acting as the primary contact between Novotech and clients, the PM leads the execution of clinical projects in accordance with local regulations, ICH GCP guidelines, Novotech/client SOPs, and the Project Agreement to deliver on time and on budget. The Project Manager is responsible for overall project deliverables, leading the internal team, ensuring financial performance, and mitigating risks through proactive management.

Responsibilities

  • Determine project feasibility and assist Business Development in sponsor needs.
  • Provide guidance and review scope of work, responsibilities, timelines, and quality of deliverables.
  • Understand and enforce Project Agreement requirements, ensuring Novotech performs services to required standards.
  • Identify and evaluate potential risks, develop risk‑management plans, and collaborate with management on appropriate contingencies.
  • Set up and maintain operational project plans, timelines, and study tracking tools (e.g., CTMS, eTMF).
  • Work with the Vendor Manager to assess, appoint, and manage study vendors (central laboratory, drug distributors, IRT providers, etc.).
  • Coordinate workstreams and cross‑functional project teams, including Clinical, Regulatory, Medical, Biometrics, and Pharmacovigilance.
  • Oversee the delivery of the project from site selection through close‑out, ensuring all deliverables within scope are completed.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Graduate in a clinical or life‑sciences related field. Relevant experience/qualifications in allied professions may also be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within the clinical research industry with previous project management experience, including Associate Project Manager or equivalent.
  • Experience in a CRO or Biotech environment is advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of the drug development and clinical trial process, the role and workings of a CRO, ICH GCP, and international and local regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to process improvement initiatives.
