The European Animal and Plant Biosolutions Tech team consists of 13 people who support a Sales team of 35 members, spread across the continent. To support the successful implementation of our business goals, you will collaborate closely with European and Global teams, including sales and marketing. You will report to the Head of Technical Service Europe. Your home office should have good connectivity to a European airport.
In this role, you will contribute by:
- Supporting with technical expertise the development of our animal monogastric enzyme business in the UK and Ireland. Portfolio might expand in the near future to probiotics.
- Assisting in mapping and prioritising opportunities across the region.
- Helping to implement our commercial development strategy through product technical support and exclusive range of service deployment.
- Building relationships with key stakeholders in the industry and universities.
- Representing Novonesis at selected events, trade shows, and conferences.
Key responsibilities:
- Work closely with the commercial team to provide technical assistance to direct customers and prospects on how to best use Novonesis enzymes in feed formulation for poultry and swine (formulation, reformulation, least cost feed formulation).
- Visit accounts and leads for relevant activities including education, training, and interpretation of research to continually improve knowledge about the benefits of Novonesis enzyme portfolio.
- Promote Novonesis range of services for enzymes at the customer level with the purpose to reach a solid implementation of our offer.
- Be in contact with the relevant CRO in the country, lead the development and implementation of trial protocols, monitor Novonesis research studies, and provide reports to the regional and global technical teams.
- Align initiatives with the regional technical team to leverage synergies and sales team to meet the overall sales goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical, sales, and marketing on industry trends, challenges, and opportunities to expand/enhance our brand portfolio and recognition.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key poultry and swine stakeholders and KOLs in the UK and Ireland animal health and feed industry.
- Survey and provide feedback about competition, movements, and strategies including prices, local advertisement, and services in the UK and Ireland.
- Stay informed about relevant regulatory requirements in the country and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Provide regular updates to the Head of Technical Service EU on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows in the UK and Ireland to enhance brand visibility and industry presence.
- Train and develop the sales team to continually upskill, and attend sales meetings regularly.
Requirements:
- Master in Animal Science or Veterinary Medicine with extensive knowledge of poultry nutrition; swine knowledge is a plus.
- Expertise in monogastric use of enzymes in diet formulation.
- 7-10 years of business experience in the feed industry sector.
- Expert in poultry nutrition and formulation; expertise in swine nutrition is a plus.
- High technical skills with commercial understanding of customer needs.
- Successful track record in solution selling of additives for animal nutrition and health.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills β able to build trust and credibility internally and externally.
- High level of English.
