Edge AI & Intelligent Hardware Programme

Novomorphic is a new semiconductor design venture backed by Cadence Design Systems, Welsh Government, and CSA Catapult.

We are building advanced semiconductor and intelligent hardware capability in the UK.

Our work focuses on low-power intelligent hardware, edge AI, digital IC design, mixed-signal systems, FPGA platforms, embedded systems, and compound semiconductor technologies.

The Opportunity

Novomorphic is seeking motivated graduates to join our Edge AI Engineering team.

You will contribute to the development, optimisation and deployment of AI models for low‑power intelligent hardware systems.

This role is ideal for graduates interested in machine learning, Edge AI, embedded AI deployment, intelligent hardware and hardware‑aware AI optimisation.

What You Will Do

  • Support development and optimisation of machine learning models.
  • Work on AI model compression, quantisation and deployment workflows.
  • Assist with benchmarking, profiling and performance analysis.
  • Support deployment of AI models onto embedded and constrained hardware platforms.
  • Collaborate with FPGA, embedded and semiconductor engineers.
  • Contribute to hardware‑aware AI optimisation and Edge AI workflows.
  • Support development of reusable AI engineering methodologies and internal IP.
