Our Client is a highly successful privately owned engineering design, manufacturing and supply business in the HVAC marketplace, looking to grow significantly over the next 5 years. The business works across a broad range of sectors with blue chip and well-known customers and has a solid pipeline for the foreseeable future.
The Requirement: Due to growth plans, success and the business strategy, the company is looking to recruit a full-time Estimating Manager to work closely with the company’s Managing Director. Based anywhere in the North-West, the Estimating Manager will have plenty of opportunity to work from home.
Core Role & Responsibilities:
- Reporting to a Managing Director, the Estimating Manager will oversee the development and delivery of bids, proposals, and tenders, ensuring the tenders meet customer timescales and specifications through effective planning and coordination of bid activities.
- Review and interpret customer requirements and ensure that bids and tenders meet these requirements at optimum benefit to the business.
- Effective coordination of documentation and reviews in accordance with the company's professional process and support colleagues to accurately manage the pipeline and sales information.
- Oversee a small team of Estimators.
Experience & Fit:
- Demonstrable experience and understanding of all stages of estimating and bidding processes.
- Experience within mechanical engineering manufacturing/services companies to date.
- Ideally some experience of HVAC and ductwork.
- Literate in finance and commercial aspects of estimates, tenders and bid delivery.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Hands on, driven, energetic, professional and a team player.
- A strong character, dynamic, strategic, gravitas, confident and aspirational when it comes to leadership opportunities within growing companies.
