HR Advisor (Fixed Term Contract to 31 December)
Hours: Full Time
We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our busy People team on a fixed term contract through to 31 December.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands on HR professional who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and partnering with managers to deliver pragmatic, commercial and people focused solutions.
You will play a key role in supporting a broad range of HR activities, with a particular focus on employee relations, while also assisting with recruitment, HR administration and maintaining HR systems.
Working closely with colleagues across the business, you will be confident building strong relationships at all levels and comfortable handling a varied workload in a dynamic environment.
Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on a range of people matters.
- Manage employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance and flexible working matters.
- Assist with recruitment activities, including advising hiring managers and supporting the end to end recruitment process.
- Ensure HR policies, procedures and practices are applied consistently and in line with employment legislation.
- Support the administration and maintenance of the HR system, ensuring employee records are accurate and up to date.
- Produce HR documentation and correspondence as required.
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives to improve employee experience and business performance.
- Provide general HR operational support to help manage a high volume workload across the team.
Previous experience in a generalist HR Advisor role.
- Significant employee relations experience with confidence managing complex and sensitive cases.
- Experience coaching and supporting managers across a range of people matters.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Experience using HR systems and undertaking HR administration.
- A genuine people person who enjoys building relationships and credibility across all levels of an organisation.
- Passionate about delivering an excellent HR service and supporting both employees and managers.
