Novo Timber is a growing timber frame specialist delivering high-quality timber frame solutions across residential and commercial projects throughout the South West and beyond. We work with developers, contractors and self-build clients to provide a complete timber frame package from design through to manufacture and installation. As our project portfolio continues to grow, we are looking to recruit an experienced Construction Manager to oversee site operations and installation delivery across multiple live projects.
The Role
This is a hands‑on operational role focused on managing the safe, efficient and high‑quality installation of timber frame systems on site. You will be responsible for overseeing erection teams, coordinating site activities, maintaining programme performance and ensuring projects are delivered to Novo Timber standards. The role will involve regular travel to sites across the South West and surrounding regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee timber frame installation projects from pre-start through to completion
- Manage and coordinate erection crews, subcontractors and site activities
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks
- Liaise with clients, principal contractors and site management teams
- Coordinate crane operations, logistics and delivery sequencing
- Resolve on‑site issues efficiently and professionally
- Monitor installation progress and report updates internally
- Support programme planning and resource allocation
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety procedures and company standards
About You
- Experience managing construction or timber frame installation projects
- Strong site operations and coordination experience
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Good understanding of health & safety requirements
- Ability to manage multiple live sites and priorities
- Full UK driving licence
- Timber frame experience
- Temporary Works awareness
- Crane / lifting operations knowledge
