Role Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a well-established multidisciplinary therapies department within a leading independent hospital. You will provide high-quality assessment and treatment to inpatients and outpatients, including those with complex needs, and contribute to the continued development of therapy services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an independent caseload of inpatients and outpatients, prioritising effectively and delivering evidence-based occupational therapy interventions.
- Undertake detailed functional assessments, plan and implement tailored treatment programmes, and support discharge planning within the MDT.
- Provide specialist advice to patients, carers, and colleagues.
- Contribute to clinical governance, audit, and service improvement initiatives.
- Supervise junior staff and support students or assistants as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with HCPC standards.
- Participate in regular CPD, appraisal, and professional supervision.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Experience
- Demonstrable post-qualification experience in acute or rehabilitation settings.
- Competence in assessment and management of complex patients.
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient therapy desirable.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
