Fancy taking ownership of Engineering projects from the first conversation right through to final handover? NOVO is working with a fast growing local business, who are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join its established project team. This is a client-side role for someone who enjoys being close to the project, making decisions, coordinating multiple stakeholders and keeping delivery moving.
You will be working in Northern Ireland, with regular travel across Europe, taking responsibility for projects across the complete Engineering lifecycle, feasibility, design, planning, delivery and handover. You will take the lead on construction projects and act as a key point of coordination between internal teams, external consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
Day to day, that will include:
- Leading client-side construction projects from feasibility and design through to completion and handover
- Coordinating multi-disciplinary internal and external project teams
- Developing and maintaining project delivery plans
- Preparing and supporting CAPEX business cases
- Managing project risks, opportunities and mitigation plans
- Controlling project budgets and expenditure
- Translating client briefs into clear construction requirements and scopes of work
- Managing project documentation and ensuring information remains accurate and compliant
- Representing the business at project and stakeholder meetings
- Maintaining strong Health & Safety standards throughout project delivery
- Identifying issues early, escalating where required and keeping projects moving
- Building strong working relationships across contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders
What we are looking for:
This isn't a role for someone who has only supported projects from the sidelines. We are looking for someone comfortable owning delivery and working in a fast-paced construction environment. You should bring:
- Strong construction project management experience
- Previous client-side project management experience
- A solid understanding of the full construction project lifecycle
- Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams
- Strong commercial awareness and budget management capability
- The ability to develop detailed scopes of work for external professionals and contractors
- Strong Health & Safety knowledge
- Confidence dealing with stakeholders at different levels
- A collaborative approach and the ability to integrate into an established project team
- Competence with project and IT systems including MS Project and Google Workspace / G Suite
