Want to break into the world of Data Centres and gain experience working on major projects across Europe? NOVO People is working with a Northern Ireland-based manufacturer that is expanding its project activity within the European Data Centre market. This is an opportunity for someone who already has experience in a site, project, engineering or HSE environment and wants to take the next step into a fast-growing international sector. Previous Data Centre experience is not essential.
The role will be split roughly 50/50 between a manufacturing facility in Co. Antrim and travel to project sites across Europe, so it would suit someone who enjoys getting out on site, working with different teams and seeing projects through from manufacture to installation and delivery.
The Role
- Youll work between the companys manufacturing operation in Co. Antrim and customer/project sites throughout Europe.
- Depending on your background, the role will involve supporting and coordinating project delivery, working with site teams, contractors and customers, and helping ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
- Typical responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the delivery of projects from the manufacturing site through to installation on customer sites
- Coordinating activity between internal manufacturing teams and European project sites
- Health & Safety on site
- Attending project and site meetings
- Monitoring site progress and helping keep projects on programme
- Working alongside contractors, customers and internal project teams
- Supporting health, safety and site compliance requirements
- Identifying and resolving site or project issues as they arise
- Providing updates to the wider project team
- Travelling regularly to Data Centre sites across Europe
Who Could This Suit?
I would be keen to speak with people currently working as a:
- Junior Project Manager
- Assistant Project Manager
- Site Manager
- Site Supervisor
- HSE Advisor / HSE Officer
- Project Coordinator
You could be coming from construction, manufacturing, engineering, HSE or another site-based environment. What matters most is that you are organised, comfortable dealing with people, happy working in a hands-on project environment and genuinely open to regular European travel.
What Youll Need
- Previous experience within a project, site, engineering, manufacturing, construction or HSE environment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Confidence working with customers, contractors and internal teams
- A practical approach to problem solving
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout Europe
- Flexibility around project and site requirements
- Ability to work independently when travelling
- Full driving licence would be advantageous
Travel is a significant part of the role, averaging approximately 50% of your working time. Due to the regular travel and project requirements across European sites, applicants must be able to travel and work across EU locations without restriction. The client has specified that candidates must hold an Irish or EU passport.
Why Consider It?
For someone looking to build a career within the Data Centre market, this could be a very strong entry point. Youll gain exposure to:
- European Data Centre projects
- Tier 1 Contractors
- International customers and project teams
- Manufacturing and site delivery
- Project coordination and management
- Site operations and contractor management
- A sector offering significant scope for long-term career development
Rather than needing years of Data Centre experience before anyone gives you an opportunity, this is a chance to get into the sector and build that experience first-hand.
