NOVO People is working with an established and growing Lisburn based manufacturing business to appoint a Quality & HSE Manager. This is a senior, hands-on position with responsibility for quality assurance, regulatory compliance, integrated management systems and continuous improvement, alongside ownership of the company’s health, safety and environmental standards. You will join the Management Team and lead a small quality function, helping the business maintain high product standards, strengthen its systems and support further growth across UK and international markets.

The opportunity includes:

  • Ownership of the company’s Integrated Management System, maintaining compliance with standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Managing technical documentation, product compliance, calibration, traceability, non-conformances and customer quality expectations while ensuring effective HSE controls remain embedded across the manufacturing site.

You will:

  • Lead and develop the company’s quality, health, safety and environmental policies and systems.
  • Manage and continually improve the Integrated Management System.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
  • Support ongoing compliance with GMP, MHRA and relevant product and manufacturing regulations.
  • Monitor changes in UK and EU legislation, standards and technical requirements.
  • Maintain technical files, conformity documentation and product compliance records.
  • Manage internal and external audits, certification visits and corrective action programmes.
  • Oversee calibration systems, product traceability and quality documentation.
  • Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints and process issues using structured root-cause analysis.
  • Drive corrective and preventative actions across manufacturing and operational teams.
  • Lead, coach and support the Quality Assurance team.
  • Develop quality controls that reduce defects, complaints, waste and operational variation.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Support environmental improvement and carbon-reduction projects.
  • Report quality and HSE performance to the senior leadership team.

You will ideally have recent experience within a Quality, SHEQ, QHSE or Integrated Management Systems role in a manufacturing, engineering or similarly regulated environment. You should also be able to demonstrate experience in several of the following areas:

  • ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Internal and external audits.
  • Product quality, non-conformance and complaint management.
  • Root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Calibration and traceability systems.
  • COSHH, REACH or related regulatory requirements.
  • Lean manufacturing or operational improvement.
  • ERP, MES or other manufacturing systems.
