The Role

Reporting into the SHEQ team, you'll support multiple projects across Northern Ireland, helping ensure compliance while promoting a positive safety culture throughout the business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
  • Supporting the preparation and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Delivering site inductions and supporting SHEQ training initiatives.
  • Providing practical Health & Safety advice to site management and operational teams.
  • Maintaining SHEQ documentation and management systems.
  • Supporting compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Driving continuous improvement across Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance.

About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience within construction, civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure environments. You'll ideally have:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within a Health & Safety or SHEQ role.
  • Good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation.
  • Experience supporting or maintaining ISO management systems.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive, practical approach with the confidence to engage site teams.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Flexibility to travel to projects across Northern Ireland.
  • Experience within rail, utilities or renewable energy projects would be advantageous but is not essential.
