In this field-based role, you will shape Novo Nordisk’s medical presence in rare blood disorders across the UK by building scientific credibility and strategic relationships.
You will work closely with clinical teams and external stakeholders to guide pre-launch strategies and medical affairs activities.
The role combines scientific leadership with cross-functional collaboration to improve patient outcomes in SCD, thalassemia, and haemophilia.

Responsibilities
- Act as subject matter expert in Rare Blood Disorders to establish credibility in SCD, thalassemia, and haemophilia
- Develop strategic relationships with key influencers, ORDMs, scientific societies, and patient organizations
- Map current clinical pathways and national guidelines to identify solutions improving patient outcomes
- Drive scientific dialogue via advisory boards, medical education, publication planning, and partnerships with HCP societies and conferences
- Generate actionable insights from HCPs and health system to influence medical content, evidence plans, and field Medical Affairs strategy
- Provide training and scientific expertise to commercial and cross-functional teams for future launches
- Respond to unsolicited medical information requests from HCPs and scientific community in ABPI, PMCPA, MHRA-compliant manner
- Key requirements
- 3+ years of field medical pharmaceutical industry experience with hematology/rare diseases exposure
- GMC registered doctor or UK registered pharmacist or Ph D in related area
- Strong credibility with KOLs and experience building external relationships
- Excellent understanding of UK NHS, ABPI Code of Practice, and pharma advertising regulations
- Outstanding communication, networking, presentation, and facilitation skills across diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of GCP, clinical trial methodology, drug development, UK healthcare systems, and publication processes
- Ability to operate in an international matrix and manage complex tasks
- ABPI Medical Representative Examination completed or willingness to obtain it
