Overview
In this Brand Lead role you shape the strategy for designated NHS brands in the UK, turning market and customer insights into growth plans. You lead a cross-functional team and guide the field force to ensure compliant, impactful campaigns. Your work helps NHS professionals access information that supports people with serious chronic diseases. You will operate at pace to deliver a 3-year plan, with a focus on ROI and stakeholder alignment across UK leadership and global partners.
Responsibilities
- Build and own the 3-year strategic plan and annual brand plan from market insight, defining positioning, segmentation, targeting, messaging, budget and KPIs
- Deliver the plan on budget and report ROI to senior leadership
- Develop or localise campaigns across field, multichannel, advertising and PR, plus non-promotional activities like medical education and patient materials
- Brief and train the field force and adjust direction as the market shifts
- Maintain close customer engagement through field visits, congresses and market research
- Ensure all materials meet ABPI Code, GDPR, local regulations and Novo Nordisk SOPs, including NI-specific compliance
Key requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Life Science, Marketing or Business and ABPI certification
- Proven success in pharmaceutical product management or marketing of prescription-only medicines
- Current experience of UK primary and/or secondary care markets
- Hands-on experience in campaign planning, development and execution, roadmap planning and market research
- Financial management skills including budgets, business cases and ROI analysis
- Strong influencing and matrix leadership skills with senior stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication, strong project management and prioritisation
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and systems such as SAP, eProcure, ETMS and Veeva PromoMats
- Fluent written and spoken English; valid passport and UK driving licence for regular travel within UK, Europe and beyond
