You will be responsible for developing and delivering a UK strategy for launching new assets and indications, spanning pre-launch through commercial launch or establishment of a business unit. Your work will combine market development, go to market planning, stakeholder engagement and cross-functional leadership to ensure successful product introductions and sustainable adoption in the NHS.

Day to day your tasks will include:

  • Lead the Launch Activity Process from ~5 years pre-launch through transfer to the line of business, using a standardised approach to new product launches.
  • Develop strategic business plans and pre-launch/launch market development plans, analysing disease and healthcare dynamics, market potential and competitive landscape to inform business cases and strategic decisions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution of market development, access and uptake strategies and co-create commercial launch build out plans (resourcing, timelines and KPIs).
  • Lead the UK cross-functional team to deliver the UK NHS launch plan, aligning global and regional launch teams and prioritising tactics by potential and ROI.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs and performance metrics, manage the Global Launch Office budget, and recommend structure and resourcing options (including partnerships or innovative commercial arrangements).
  • Educate and inspire the organisation on portfolio strategy, core story and clinical evidence, and identify opportunities for business growth through insight-driven recommendations.

This role is based at Novo Nordisk’s UK office in Gatwick.

You will sit within NHS Marketing reporting to the Associate Director Portfolio & Launch Strategy and work closely with Medical, Market Access, Corporate Affairs, Commercial, Finance and Operations. The team drives coordinated UK launch readiness and collaborates with regional and global counterparts to ensure UK perspectives shape global plans.

To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Hold a degree in business, science or equivalent, with proven experience in corporate strategy development, marketing and market development.
  • Have a strong track record in commercial pre-launch planning and leadership of cross-functional teams in complex environments.
  • Demonstrate excellent business acumen, financial modelling, opportunity assessment and business case skills to prioritise investments and inform decision making.
  • Be a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills, able to influence senior management and communicate effectively at the highest levels.
  • Be fluent in English and highly proficient with Word, PowerPoint and Excel, able to tailor content and presentations for diverse audiences.
  • Show excellent stakeholder management, influencing and presentation skills, with effective time management and an ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines.
