Overview of the Role – Project Manager
Reporting to the MD and Board, the role of a Project Manager is to take a project from the sales team, manage and co-ordinate all aspects of the project and deliver the completed project to the customer at handover. Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing, monitoring, and undertaking project management activities.
- Conducting analysis and reviews to provide input into plans, processes, and procedures.
- Contributing to the improvement, completion, and delivery of projects.
- Responsible for the achievement of construction targets and successful completion of projects on time, within budget and prescribed quality.
- Sustaining and leading a highly motivated, productive, and capable construction team.
- Striving for the achievement of business KPIs.
Knowledge and Experience
- Technical competence to understand the design and construction process in relation to building or civil and ground working contracting, including relevant design standards, codes & legislation.
- Project Management experience in the construction sector, building or civil.
- Professional project management qualifications.
- Ability to develop, manage and maintain successful relationships, both internally and externally.
- Ability to think ahead, so that the project always has sufficient material, plant and labour.
- Strong influencing skills and persuasion skills.
