Overview of the Role – Project Manager

Reporting to the MD and Board, the role of a Project Manager is to take a project from the sales team, manage and co-ordinate all aspects of the project and deliver the completed project to the customer at handover. Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing, monitoring, and undertaking project management activities.
  • Conducting analysis and reviews to provide input into plans, processes, and procedures.
  • Contributing to the improvement, completion, and delivery of projects.
  • Responsible for the achievement of construction targets and successful completion of projects on time, within budget and prescribed quality.
  • Sustaining and leading a highly motivated, productive, and capable construction team.
  • Striving for the achievement of business KPIs.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Technical competence to understand the design and construction process in relation to building or civil and ground working contracting, including relevant design standards, codes & legislation.
  • Project Management experience in the construction sector, building or civil.
  • Professional project management qualifications.
  • Ability to develop, manage and maintain successful relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to think ahead, so that the project always has sufficient material, plant and labour.
  • Strong influencing skills and persuasion skills.
