Our client is a leader in the supply of equipment and technical services to the global pharmaceutical market, specialising in providing bespoke packaging solutions. As the pharmaceutical and medical device industries develop novel solutions utilising technological advancements, our client is experiencing increased demand for products and services globally. To support their goals and to stay relevant with the changing technology environment, they are seeking a thoughtful and strategic Managing Director to oversee their expanding operations and lead their team through this exciting growth phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy: Provide strategic direction for the company, identifying opportunities for portfolio product expansion, keeping current in technical product knowledge, and addressing the changing pharmaceutical/medical device development cycles with the onset of AI capabilities.
- Market Expansion: Drive market growth globally, identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities and driving deeper customer adoption with our current product portfolio.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring that our product offerings, technical knowledge and delivery meet the highest standards.
- Financial Oversight: Lead financial planning and budgeting, ensuring profitability and effective resource allocation in line with business goals.
- Team Leadership: Build and nurture a high-performing organisation, ensuring that talent is developed to drive both short-term success and strategic foresight for future requirements.
- Portfolio Innovation: Define the right opportunities to bring new innovations into the portfolio from cutting-edge medical devices and drug solutions that address the evolving needs of healthcare professionals and patients.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, healthcare providers, regulatory bodies, and customers, to ensure continued business success and compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Managing Director, CEO, or in a senior leadership role within the pharmaceutical, medical device or healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of global healthcare trends, including the growing medical device industry.
- Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making abilities, with a focus on operational efficiency and market growth.
- Experience in developing cross functional organisational capability and driving high-performance cultures.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing large-scale budgets and investments.
