We are supporting a long-established UK manufacturer in appointing an experienced Manufacturing Manager to oversee daily operations within a precision, high-volume production environment. This role requires a technically strong, hands-on leader with significant experience in injection moulding.
The Role
You will be responsible for the full manufacturing function, ensuring consistent output, efficient use of resources, strong operational discipline, and strict compliance with quality and safety standards. Working closely with senior leadership, you will maintain stable, reliable manufacturing performance while driving continuous improvement in process capability and equipment utilisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop manufacturing teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Drive operational KPIs including efficiency, utilisation, scrap reduction, quality, and cost control.
- Provide strong technical expertise, including hands-on support with process optimisation, troubleshooting, and tooling-related issues.
- Oversee production planning, forecasting, and materials flow to meet agreed schedules and customer requirements.
- Uphold all quality, regulatory and health & safety standards across the manufacturing area.
- Maintain strong housekeeping and site standards to support operational reliability.
- Support ongoing continuous improvement work across processes, equipment performance, and overall workflow.
Essential Requirements
- Extensive, proven experience in injection moulding manufacturing (non-negotiable).
- Experience in high-volume, precision manufacturing environments.
- Strong technical understanding of moulding processes, tooling, automated machinery, and process optimisation.
- Demonstrable senior leadership experience within manufacturing or operations.
- A practical, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving ability.
- Proven experience managing KPIs, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
