Role Summary

Reporting into the Managing Director, there is a strategic recruitment requirement to recruit a Head of HR. The purpose of this role is to lead the HR function with overall responsibility for:

  • Strategic Leadership: Defining and implementing a HR strategy that is aligned to business growth aspirations
  • People & Engagement: Driving an organisational culture aligned to company values that supports growth, transformation and employee engagement
  • Operational Oversight: Leading the HR team, ensuring delivery of high-quality HR services
  • Risk & Compliance: Managing HR risk, ensuring compliance with employment legislation
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Providing expert HR advice to leaders and managers across the organisation.

Experience Needed & Subjective Fit

  • Notable Head of HR level experience – strong broad HR experience
  • CIPD qualified with evidence of ongoing professional development on a continuous basis
  • Deep understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice, with the ability to apply this in a pragmatic and business-focused way
  • Proven ability to translate business objectives into clear and effective people strategies.
  • Strong leadership capability, with experience of developing and leading high-performing HR teams
  • A confident role model with proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders, with credibility at Board and Executive level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, inspire and build trust across all levels of the organisation.
