We are looking for an Assistant Production Manager to work closely with our Production Manager, supporting factory operations and gradually taking on leadership responsibilities. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on engineering environment and enjoys problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Production Manager in overseeing factory operations.
  • Gradually take on managerial duties, leading sections of the shop floor.
  • Work closely with Team Leaders and Supervisors to ensure production efficiency.
  • Identify and solve production delays with creative, proactive solutions.
  • Foster strong communication between departments, including Procurement, Quality, and Engineering.
  • Use MRP systems, including Bills of Materials (BoMs), to track production.
  • Ensure accurate interpretation of engineering drawings for manufacturing processes.
  • Promote a professional, constructive shop floor culture—balancing authority with approachability.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience in a mechanical shop floor engineering environment.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems and managing work orders.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong PC skills, particularly Excel (aspirational, not essential).
  • Experience in electrical/electronics is an advantage.
  • The ability to lead and collaborate with a diverse workforce across all age groups.
  • A practical mindset—capable of cutting through distractions to solve problems effectively.
  • Assertiveness without being overbearing—someone confident yet professional.
