The Chief of Staff is a pivotal strategic role within the Quanta Group, acting as an operational and organisational integrator for the Group CEO and wider Group Executive.

The role is responsible for enabling efficient decision‑making, driving alignment across business units, and supporting effective execution of group‑level priorities and initiatives.

This position ensures that the Group CEO and Group Executive operate at maximum effectiveness by coordinating strategic programmes, improving operational rhythm, enhancing communication, and ensuring timely follow‑up on key actions.

You will be a trusted advisor, critical thinker, and delivery partner operating with high autonomy, discretion, and influence.

The role holder will be required to regularly travel to Quanta Group offices and sites across the UK.

There will be occasional international travel for group‑level engagements, and flexibility is required based on Group Executive priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Group Strategy & Execution
  • Partner with the Group CEO and Group Executive to shape, clarify, and operationalise the Group’s strategic agenda.
  • Track execution of strategic initiatives across business units.
  • Translate group‑wide objectives into actionable workstreams.
  • Provide analysis, insights, and recommendations for decision‑making.
  • Executive Advisory & Support
  • Act as an extension of the Group CEO by preparing briefing packs and ensuring timely decisions.
  • Provide informed challenge and perspective to strengthen decisions.
  • Represent the CEO or Group Executive in selected meetings.
  • Draft high‑quality presentations, reports, and communications.
  • Leadership Team Coordination & Governance
  • Manage and improve the Group Executive’s operating rhythm.
  • Ensure accountability by tracking actions across the leadership team.
  • Strengthen coordination between business units.
  • Support governance, board reporting cycles, and risk updates.
  • Cross‑Functional Programme Leadership
  • Lead or oversee group‑wide projects and change initiatives.
  • Establish project governance and reporting standards.
  • Step into delivery roles when required.
  • Coordinate dependencies across business units.
  • Operational Excellence & Organisational Effectiveness
  • Identify organisational inefficiencies and implement improvements.
  • Promote consistent processes and communication frameworks.
  • Ensure the Group CEO and Executive have accurate, timely information.

  • Engage and manage relationships with senior stakeholders.

  • Acts as a strategic communications partner, ensuring leadership messages are clear, consistent, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Translates organisational strategy and executive decisions into compelling, employee‑focused communications.
  • Coordinates messaging across senior leaders to maintain alignment and avoid conflicting communications.
  • Advises executives on communication approach, timing, audience impact, and potential organisational risks.
  • Oversees communication planning for major organisational initiatives, change programmes, and business updates.
  • Supports executive visibility by developing key messages, presentations, town halls, and leadership briefings.
  • Specialist Skills, Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Significant experience in a Chief of Staff, Business Manager, Strategy, Transformation, or senior operations role.
  • Proven ability to work with executive leadership in a multi‑business environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of group‑level drivers.
  • Outstanding communication and influencing skills.
  • Exceptional organisation and ability to simplify complexity.
