We invite a SRE/DevOps Engineer to join our development team.
About us
- On the market since 2002;
- Operational departments and development hubs worldwide.
The project is a leading B2B event platform used by enterprises to run in-person, virtual and hybrid events and webinars, with a strong focus on the life-sciences sector. It is a 24/7 SaaS product where uptime, performance and the ability to scale for peak traffic during live events are critical to the business. AI-assisted development tools are a core part of how the team works.
You will join the infrastructure team, reporting to the Infrastructure Lead, and work closely with engineering and product. The role is hands-on ownership of the platform's reliability and scalability: not just monitoring, but driving lasting improvements to uptime, resilience and cost efficiency.
Technical stack
- IaC & CI/CD: Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Packer, Docker
- Load testing: Locust, Gatling
- Databases: relational and document-oriented
- AI tooling: AI-assisted development toolchain (Anthropic's Claude) in daily use
Requirements
- 5+ years in an SRE role keeping large-scale, 24/7 SaaS platforms running, with an earlier sysadmin or software developer background
- Strong production-grade AWS experience; hands-on with cloud-native, distributed and high-availability architectures
- Terraform for infrastructure automation; CI/CD with Jenkins and GitHub Actions; image builds with Packer and Docker
- Solid Python for automation and tooling
- Observability in practice: Datadog, Pingdom, Elastic β instrumenting systems and acting on what they show
- Comfortable with both relational and document-oriented databases
- Daily use of AI coding tools (e.g. Claude) in infrastructure work, with clear judgment on where they help and where they don't
- Ownership mindset, clear communication with engineering and product, ability to get other teams to prioritise reliability work
- Location: EU
Responsibilities
- First month: learn the platform architecture; review IaC change requests; run the monthly patching cycle and a release-validation load test (Locust/Gatling); resolve first infrastructure support requests; report on what looks fragile or undocumented.
- 3 months: design and deliver a Terraform project from proposal to production; ship a Python AWS Lambda that automates an operational task; own a security-hardening improvement (e.g. network/firewall rules); operate autonomously in the on-call rotation.
- 6 months: lead the resolution of a critical incident and improve response and recovery times; own end-to-end observability for one critical service; automate repetitive engineering workflows with AI-assisted tooling; measurably improve one reliability metric (e.g. MTTD or MTTR) against a baseline you set.
- 12 months: your Terraform patterns, review practices and documentation are the team standard; you own peak-traffic readiness end to end (load testing, capacity review, scaling runbooks); you are the go-to person on infrastructure decisions across teams.
We offer
- Employment is based ona private entrepreneur contract without any reference to a specific location;
- Paid vacations (24 working days/year) and sick leave;
- Stable long-term workload (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week), flexible working hours, fully remote;
- Working on exciting projects in international team of professionals;
- Opportunities for learning and practicing new technologies; internal training;
- Participating in inner meetups and permanent experience exchange with colleagues;
- Well-defined development processes and methodologies;
- Partial reimbursement of medical fees, massage or sports.
