Residential construction projects face increasing pressure to meet life safety and compliance standards. Yet, many lack tailored smoke ventilation solutions. We’re hiring a Business Development Manager to grow NOVENCO’s footprint in the UK housing sector by delivering compliant, high-performance systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full sales cycle from enquiry to handover across 10–20 active projects annually
  • Prepare compliant proposals aligned with BS EN 12101, BS EN 1366-8, and ISO 21927-9 standards
  • Build relationships with M&E contractors, consultants, and developers across residential and mixed-use sectors
  • Deliver technical presentations and post-tender meetings to secure contracts worth £100K–£1,500K
  • Attend 8–12 industry events yearly to generate leads and raise brand awareness
  • Maintain CRM records and produce monthly sales forecasts and pipeline reports

What Drives Success

  • 3–5 years’ experience in technical sales or estimating within construction or building services
  • Strong understanding of smoke control systems and mechanical ventilation
  • Familiarity with UK building regulations (e.g. Approved Document B, BS EN 13501-4)
  • Proactive communicator who builds trust and delivers tailored client solutions

Westgate Oxford Shopping Centre secured with NOVENCO’s reliable ventilation systems. Before its transformation, the old Westgate Centre was more than 40 years old and situated in the heart of Oxford, one of England’s most historic cities. Westgate Shopping Centre is the new 800,000 square feet retail and leisure destination and is now open and is home to the three-storey retail centre, together with a 1,000 space underground car park and 61 new residential properties. Two levels of safety - for this large reconstruction NOVENCO Building & Industry was contracted to design, supply, install and commission the smoke ventilation systems for the whole development. This includes mechanical smoke clearance systems for the large two-level underground car park, loading bay and service yard. All natural and mechanical AOV stair systems were also part of NOVENCO Building & Industry’s scope of delivery on this large project.
