Role Overview

This is a senior, commercially focused role responsible for the retention and growth of a defined portfolio of key strategic accounts. As a Key Account Manager, you will act as a trusted advisor to a select group of high‑value clients. You will develop deep relationships, gain a strong understanding of their business objectives, and align Novem’s services to deliver measurable commercial and operational outcomes. This role prioritises quality over volume, requiring a high level of engagement, ownership, and strategic impact across each account.

Key Objectives

  • Retain and expand strategic client relationships
  • Drive Monthly Recurring Margin (MRM) and Non‑Recurring Margin (NRM) through structured account development
  • Establish Novem as a trusted advisor at senior stakeholder level
  • Deliver strategic account plans and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) aligned to client outcomes

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a defined portfolio of strategic accounts, including co‑managed environments in collaboration with client‑side IT teams
  • Develop and execute account plans aligned to client business goals
  • Build and maintain multi‑level stakeholder relationships across IT, Finance, and executive leadership

Growth & Commercial Performance

  • Identify and develop opportunities across:
  • Managed Services expansion
  • Cyber security enhancement
  • Professional Services and project delivery
  • Deliver against revenue and margin targets, including MRM and NRM
  • Lead renewal strategies through early engagement and service evolution
  • Client Engagement

    • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and strategic planning sessions
    • Translate technical solutions into clear business value and outcomes
    • Act as the primary commercial owner and escalation point for assigned accounts

    Collaboration & Delivery Alignment

    • Work closely with internal teams, including:
    • Pre‑Sales and Technical specialists
    • Service Delivery and Support
    • Projects and Professional Services
  • Ensure proposed solutions are commercially viable, deliverable, and aligned to client needs
  • Governance & Forecasting

    • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline management, and forecasting
    • Provide clear visibility of:
    • Sales opportunities
    • Account growth trajectory

    Experience & Skills

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Account Management or Account Director roles within the IT MSP sector
    • Experience within the automotive sector is advantageous, particularly:
    • Truck and bus organisations
  • Proven track record of managing SME accounts (50–500 users)
  • Demonstrated success in driving recurring revenue growth and client retention
  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders, including C‑suite and director level
  • Technical Knowledge

    • Strong understanding of:
    • IT Managed Services
    • Microsoft 365 ecosystem
    • Cyber security principles
