We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join a busy and established manufacturing business based in Middleport, Burslem. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in quality inspection, engineering or manufacturing who has a strong eye for detail and enjoys working in a hands-on quality environment. Working closely with the Quality, Production and Engineering teams, you will be responsible for inspecting incoming materials, components and finished products to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out incoming, in-process and final inspections.
  • Inspecting components, materials and finished products against engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Using measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers and gauges.
  • Checking component dimensions, tolerances and functionality.
  • Identifying and containing non-conforming materials and products.
  • Raising and maintaining Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Accurately recording inspection and test results.
  • Ensuring inspection and measuring equipment is maintained and within calibration.
  • Working with Production and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Supporting internal and external quality audits.
  • Working within the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
  • Supporting continuous improvement and general quality activities.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience within a Quality Inspector, Quality Technician, Engineering Inspector, Manufacturing Inspector or similar role.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Experience using measuring and inspection equipment.
  • A good understanding of tolerances and dimensional inspection.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality procedures.
  • Good numerical and technical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • A full UK driving licence.
